Houston Series

Personally, I'd be more optimistic, but I don't think the Mariners will put their best team on the field.

I went with 2-2 but we need to get at least one of those Monday or Tuesday because Morton and Cole have been pitching lights out.

What are you doing up so early, Ron? I am on a client call with Pfizer in the EU.

I'm pretty much always up early. I have a nice leisurely breakfast and then head off to work...starting at 7 am. It's not bad, because there is daylight when I get off and, these days, quite a lot of it. (When it is not raining, it is even better)

It is not like I just got up. Besides, you are further east, so you're supposed to get up earlier.

They just lost 2 of 3 at home to Texas who were 4-10 coming in so I wouldn't anoint them as a dream team just yet.

On paper the M's should probably win against Keuchel who has not had a good season so far. No reason the hometown shouldn't be able to take at least one of the remaining three so I'm guessing they go 2 & 2. Looking ahead over the next two weeks, I think the Mariners have a good chance of going 8 and 6. That would put them at 16 and 11 for the month.

I would take that given only 10 home games and the injuries. The May schedule looks pretty favorable and we should be fully healthy including Iwak at some point during May.
