Spank Their Astros Game Thread 4/16/18

Postby maoling on Mon Apr 16, 2018 11:36 am

A little early, but I have a big fat goose egg in the game thread win column and need to get off the schneid. No mealy-mouthed SS after the game talking about "That's Baseball." No excuses. Just win, baby.

OMG. Ichiro not in the lineup again. Way to pull out your heads, M's.

7:10pm Astros (D. Keuchel - L) @ Mariners (J. Paxton - L)

Keuchel may have a beard, but Paxton has an eagle! Go f**k yerself Keuchel until you get your own bird.

Will post lineups 11 seconds after they show up.

Do you mean "Spank their Astros?" Well the Astros generally just make a stop by SafeCo to pad their lead in the standings.... It would be nice to change that story line.....

I was wondering since Ichiro and Motter have never gotten a hit off Keuchel and Heredia is batting .400 off him, maybe Servais might put Heredia in the lineup? Small sample size.... well, you never know...

But that would mean the 16,000 fans (announced crowd 24,500) who show up tonight would not get to see Ichiro fly out to right, hit a weak ground ball to first and strike out once before he is pulled for Heredia as a defensive replacement in the 8th. That would be poor marketing, which as we all know is not how the FO rolls.

That's a better thread title. Change order is going through now.

It's great to be so deep into the season and right in the heart of the Pennant Race with Houston paying a visit..!

Keuchel we have seen enough for Servais to not just look at the stats but also to know which of our hitters have looked really bad while facing him. I would like to think that Servais consults with his coaches while he fills out the Lineup Card. At least A Penny For Their Thoughts, especially Edgar's.

I'm thinking Paxton has had enough time to get his act together and will toss a nice one tonight.

What's the word on Gamel and Zunino? I thought they were supposed to be back by now.
