M's sign Tim Beckham

Postby ice99 on Thu Jan 10, 2019 8:39 am

M's sign Tim Beckham to $1.75 M deal. The 40 man roster is full, although they can move Tui to the 60 day DL.

I can see the M's outrighting Cowart near the end of spring training. He can practice pitching in the minors - don't want him to blow out his arm by pitching at the major league level.

Now we just need to sign David and we will have a Beckham trifecta. I guess Gordon is gone....

For infield depth, in the past two days the Mariners reportedly have signed the No. 1 pick in the 2008 draft and the No. 2 pick in the 2009 draft.

JP Crawford likely goes to AAA after the Japan series.

Damn 3.4 WAR in 2017. My guess is a lot of his struggles last season were due to playing on one of the worst teams in history. Love this signing. Also makes Gordon expendable......

I’m suspecting DiPoto wanted to make up for the Ks that he traded away with Zunino...

Compared to Romine, the new guy’s an All-Star!

With just 3 rbi’s, he’s an Upgrade!

34 bombs the past two seasons. I think that is better than Romine as well.
