Top 25 by conference
Going by the AP poll.
ACC: six (2, 3, 10, 11, 21, 23)
SEC: six (1, 8, 16, 20, 22, 25)
Big 10: four (5 ,6 ,13 ,19)
Big 12: three (9, T14, 24)
Big East: two (12, 18)
WCC: one (4)
MW: one (7)
MAC: one (T14)
American: one (17)
Pac 12: ZERO
(UW highest ranked at #33)
Is the Pac 12 having a down year, or is it dead?

Re: Top 25 by conference
Makes me wonder if we are going to have to start at least 10-0 in conference to crack the top 25. This is insanity. Larry Scott needs to go away.

Too bad the 91 - 73 shellacking of the 18-1 number 7 ranked Nevada Wolf Pack didn't count.
That was the October 20th "exhibition" game and the Huskies dominated them.

Would have been nice if it was actually scheduled in the regular season. Win or lose i think it still would have helped.

Dawgs should break into the top 25 this week. 9 teams ranked between 12 and 25 lost a game this week and 4 of those lost twice. Also 3 teams ranked ahead of them in the others receiving votes also lost.

Hmmm. Iowa state goes 1-1 and moves up 4 spots?

This is what is most disappointing to me. Knowing that we can't really improve our perception, because even winning in this Conference isn't enough.
I'd like to complain, but no Pac 12 team did anything in the Non Conference to help with this. Add in that UCLA and AZ aren't the class of the Conference and perception is down. Football is the same way, because when the Ducks or Trojans aren't leading the way everyone thinks the Conference sucks. And, unfortunately the Post Season has backed up that opinion.
So, as much as I hate it, there really isn't anything we can do besides hope that some day the Conference presidents and the idiot they pay handsomely to run the Conference start acting like an athletic Conference more than a media outlet. Especially since the reason they want to be a media outlet is a TV package that is unavailable in more than half of the homes in their own market!
