Actually, it appears they're steering clear from the former disgraced mayor: https://twitter.com/JoshShea40/status/9 ... 7316108290

(Note: There was an Uptown Alliance meeting yesterday to discuss OVG's MOU and Josh Shea attended it. He lives around there and he prefers Sodo over the Key.)

Also, how can anyone on the SCC support an arena plan that was backed by Murray? You know that if he had supported Sodo, Geoffy boy and the rest of the opposition would be up in arms, demanding his resignation when the first allegation came out.

Ummm, don't know how "fun" the defense will be. Might be fun for some of us.

The D is silent because he has no defense.

According to SR's Matt Tucker, the Sodo Arena Team made a good hire: https://twitter.com/TuckeratSR/status/9 ... 5725392897

Meanwhile, the petition has reached 14,000+ signatures: https://twitter.com/AaronQ13Fox/status/ ... 7415246850

If I was the two candidates for Mayor I would request that nothing is finalized prior to them taking office. Kind of like the Supreme Court nomination after Scalia died last year. No way an interim Mayor should preside over an agreement that was cobbled together by a soon to be convicted felon.

Good point. There are rumblings that the decision could be delayed until early 2018. Yeah, I know everyone is sick of delays and this has gone long enough but some on the SCC feels this is going WAY too fast and you know how they feel when that happens

well that would be interesting, not an easy question, I mean for as much as you guys hate it if they feel they have a pretty good deal in terms of taking the Key off their hands that is something they could have a hard time giving up, assuming that OVG is going to press them for a decision

I saw Baker had a column out about the arena debate, I think he lays out the situation pretty clearly really

Yeah, hear it is. He managed to not let his obvious bias creep in.
