Pretty good since the guy is known as notoriously bad off the blocks. Where he gets his speed is after he can stride. At 6'5", he's taller than most sprinters and at the end of 100m, his strides are usually at least 18 inches longer than everyone else. Fewer strides over the 100m meant he could coast the last 15m or so.

Maybe he's serious about playing in the NFL. Lets hope he doesn't have boards for hands!

When i think of fast NFL players the two names that have stuck with me from my younger days are Darrell Green and Ron Brown. And then there was Bo Jackson and his 4.13 40 as well...

According to this article, this is the fastest 40 yard time ever...

The fastest recorded 40 yard split on record belongs to Olympian Maurice Greene. During his World Record 60 meter run of 6.33, a mark that still exists, Green crossed the 40 yard mark at 4.18. Remembering that .25 seconds must be subtracted from that time due to Accu-track timing and you come up with a 40 yard dash time of 3.93 seconds.

Not sure how fast he was but it was Renaldo Nehemiah that was the most famous track to football convert when I was a kid.

I guess you could say Renaldo was also the Wally Pipp of football...........

Nehemiah was made expendable in 1985 when the 49ers drafted Jerry Rice in the first round, and he returned to the track in 1986.

Ron Brown was a 100 meter olympian and i think Willie Gault was a track & field guy also. And there are several more, most notably Bob Hayes.

Ross has 210 yards receiving on 21 catches in two seasons. Perhaps he should consider track..............

Straight line speed just doesn't translate to NFL success.

I think he had 7 Tds this year. He's going to be just fine once the Bengals learn how to use him. He can be Tyreke Hill. Better really.
