This was classic. Colbrese did address the Garfield basketball team with the six transfers that all had been instructed to claim homeless. Lol. McCurdy,
Haskins and Howard all attended the meeting.

Claudia Rowe should have clearly addressed this meeting in her article.

Leaving us in the lurch? What was the outcome of that meeting (besides obviously no sanctions)?

Colbrese advised they keep the recruiting under the
radar and out of the papers.

About four years back. Seattle Times wrote a article
concerning the Garfield hoop team with six transfers.
Now it comes to surface that all six transfers had been instructed to claim homeless to avoid any transfer rules.

This is an e-mail that was sent out by the Bellevue Football Wolverines Club. Thought it would pass it on because many of you might be interested in attending this next week about lack of oversight issues with the WIAA.

Hello,

We're reaching out to all of you to share a very important event that we'd like to urge you to attend.

One of the unfortunate realities we learned during the BHS investigation in 2015-16 was that the WIAA has ZERO oversight or governing body to which we, or anyone, can appeal sanctions or that provides due process for those affected by WIAA decisions, such as our former and present coaches and students. Senator Mike Baumgartner has proposed Senate Bill 5583 based on feedback from concerned citizens across Washington about the lack of oversite of the WIAA.

On Wednesday, August 16, from 10:00 to 11:30 AM, The Washington State Senate Commerce, Labor & Sports Committee will be holding a work session to hear testimony
from students, parents, coaches and the community regarding issues and concerns surrounding WIAA.

WHAT: Washington State Senate Commerce, Labor & Sports Committee
WHEN: Wednesday, August 16th at 10:00 - 11:30AM
WHERE: Bellevue College, 3000 Landerholm Circle SE, Bellevue WA, Bldg N (Paccar Atrium), Rm N201

Also, several folks have also met with Senator Patty Kuderer, Senator from 48th District, urging her participation in the process that means so much to our entire community.

The WIAA currently governs: Cheer, Dance, Drill, Drama, Forensics, Music, Baseball, Basketball, Bowling, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Softball, Swimming, Diving, Tennis, Track and Field, Volleyball, Wrestling, starting as early as 5th grade in some school districts, so this issue likely effects all of us at some point.

Let's take this opportunity to get some oversight back in the process that protects kids and coaches across the State!

Please plan to attend and bring your neighbors and friends, so we can make sure our collective voices are heard.

Thank you and Go Bellevue!

Good. Hopefully this is a start to force the Wiaa to establish a compliance department to enforce rules
and investigate. Self Reporting by schools is not working.

Bellevue did appeal at multiple levels and the termination of Butch and Pat was fair and well deserved. The Wiaa has fallen short by not stripping
Bellevue of multiple state titles.

Odeagrad gave solid reply on the COLD BREEZE meeting.

Like I said, I have it transcribed verbatim, the nonsense
Is hysterical.

PJ allegedly off to prep school this week.
