what is with Garfield?

Postby esq on Wed Sep 13, 2017 10:51 am

There was a lot of talk about all those D1 recruits and blue chip HS players that transferred to Garfield for football. Well it seems it hasn't transferred to the win/loss column. Wondering what the forum thinks is the reason. Were these kids over-rated? is it poor coaching? or is it the strength of their opponents?

Didn't look like their stud transfer QB played against Bellevue. Anyone know why?

Joey reported injuries was the reason. Fact it was a
grade issues per multiple players on the team.

Can't he just McKinney-Vento the kids and make a minimum GPA a non-issue?

Bummer man. Are you seriously telling me that these kids are now going to have to get C's in school in order to play? What is this world coming to?

The grade thing doesn't make sense. Played all those kids against Murphy. Five week kids can't play at all. That excuse doesn't work.

When Garfield played ATM Seattle schools had not
started for the year. Possible not grade checks until
school starts???

Kid sits for five weeks until next grade check to confirm passing grades to be eligible.
