beenthereanddonethat wrote:Hawk, I can't believe YOUR arrogance in believing that everything you like is correct and everything you disagree with is crap despite fact. Increasingly, you and yours display an unending love for DENIAL. You love the thought of Hillary's emails but discount Ivanka's. You love the thought of YOUR president being a Christian even when he never darkens a church door or stands like a fool when the Apostle's Creed is being recited...Hell! He had the words in his hands! Bush 41 was 10 times to the 10th power smarter than trump in inviting the fool to his funeral. Trump looked not only miserable and bored but angry as well during the Bush funeral. Shame on ALL news outlets for making trump take the back seat on that day. You folks take the cake!!!

I haven't given any thought to Trump's religious beliefs. I don't see the point.

I love how you lefties assume so much. You assume that you know what Trump is thinking and what his base is thinking and yet you're laughably off the mark. We get that you don't like the man. His personality is offensive to you. Whatever. All those debates are made for the election season. Once Trump becomes POTUS you have to start debating the policies and stop the denial that he's actually president. That debate is over. Now it's time to take on Trump's policies on trade, jobs, immigration, taxes, heath care. What's really burning the left is that he's on the right side of nearly every issue, and since they're committed to opposing Trump no matter what, they end up taking the wrong side of nearly every issue. Look at how the left is defending the rights of illegals to enter the country, or their feigned concern for the well being China if Trump's too hard on them. Give us a break.

I've said it before -- Trump is the fun-house mirror opposite of Obama. And this is a good thing, because while the public loved Obama the man, the outer package, speaking ability and the ideology he delivered, they hated his policies. Trump is the opposite because his policies are wildly popular, and why wouldn't they be -- it's about putting America and American first. We get that he has a repulsive veneer but we don't care because he's taking the country in the right direction. I will follow an idiot going the right direction every time over a genius going in the wrong direction.

Thanks for the cake beenthere!
Trump has had prayers said while
going to have discussions in the
WH. Haven't you seen that? Not
hearsay, but a fact.
You don't have to go to church to
be a Christian! Obama went, look
how that turned out!

That's right. I also remember after Alabama won the national championship and visited the white house, they asked if they could pray for Trump. He said yes and they had a prayer circle of like a hundred guys.

Some in the evangelical circles consider Trump to be god's candidate. That he was sent to save us from the wickedness of the Democrats. This really burns the left because they don't consider Trump to be a man a faith at all and they think everyone is being duped. The problem there is that they think Christians are being duped regardless of Trump so none of them listen. They see Trump as somebody who's protecting religious freedom. Somebody who says he's going to do something and then does what he says.

Christians don't actually condemn people for sins like adultery. Well, some anyway. Most of the time, the revelation of a sin and then the resulting confession and asking for forgiveness elevates that person in the eyes of Christians.

Trump needs a lot of prayer to save his soul, no doubt.

And he isn't a man of faith, he is a charlatan and a chameleon that pretends to be a Christian.

Why didn't you have a problem with Obama pretending to be Christian?

Again, doesn't matter what Trump says or what he does in his private life, Christians rightly see Trump as protecting their values while the Dems do everything they can to undermine Judeo-Christian values.

Why?

Socialists can't institute their religion without wiping out all other religions. Germany was a strong Christian nation before the Nazis took over. Same deal with Russia.

We need to keep church separate from state. Religious morals and values should not dictate law.

Religion is for the foolish, and the poor. It's a tool of coercion purely. "Tax-Exempt" Separation of church and state is a sham... The government is your God.... it's on the damn money!

Spoken like a true socialist!

That's the key separation -- those who want a nation under god and those that want a nation under government. How many people do you currently trust in government? For me, it's about a handful of people in DC. Politicians should not be giving us morals and telling us how to live. Protect the country, reform the tax code, work out better trade deal. Let Americans decide their own morals. Otherwise... if you've noticed... they don't talk about the issues at all. It's much easier to just divide people based on our base differences of race, gender and sex.
